Love, Laughter & Latte-Inspired Proposals: Natalie & Meghan's Couple Spotlight

Updated: 7 days ago

Natalie and Meghan’s love story began the way some of the best do—quietly, with time, trust, and a thoughtful coffee mug proposal that said more than words ever could.

The two first met at a yoga studio where Natalie was an instructor and Meghan was simply looking to breathe a little easier. They remained friends for nearly two years before dating, giving their relationship a strong foundation of mutual respect and appreciation. When Meghan proposed in April 2022—using a handmade “Wife” mug from Mud & Yarn—Natalie was so surprised (and excited) that she proposed back just three weeks later.

Why The Boylston Rooms?

When it came time to plan their wedding, the couple knew they wanted something small, sweet, and meaningful. They were drawn to The Boylston Rooms not only for the space itself but for the down-to-earth team behind it.

“The Boylston Rooms gave us such a great feeling knowing that we could make our day exactly what we wanted and not have to lose our minds planning,” Natalie shared.“We also felt like everyone was so down to earth and that’s something we found rare when entering the wedding industry.”

They chose our Button Wedding Package, a customizable midweek offering that on top of the venue and caterer can include core wedding vendors like a photographer, videographer, DJ, florist, hair & makeup and officiant. The beauty of this package is its flexibility—you can use our trusted vendor partners or bring in your own.

“The opportunity to plan and book everything essentially in one spot was amazing,” they said. “The vendors Myles and Erin suggested are people we’ll cherish forever!”

Wedding Day Highlights

Natalie and Meghan’s favorite moment? Their first look. It gave them a quiet pause in the excitement—a chance to soak each other in before the ceremony, surrounded by the fall foliage and warm brick walls of the mill courtyard.

But it was the people behind the scenes that truly made an impression.

“Erin, Myles & Jen made it happen! We are so grateful for all of their hard work that made it an absolute dream of an experience,” they said. “They treated us and our guests like family from the beginning of our planning process to the moment we walked out the door after our wedding.”

Myles even had an unofficial role as “dress helper,” making sure everything stayed picture-perfect during their pre-ceremony photos. Natalie described him as “comforting and special… someone who was there for every step of the process.”

And Meghan fondly referred to Erin as “Mary Poppins,” magically appearing with whatever anyone needed throughout the day.

Advice for Future Couples

Like many couples planning a wedding, Natalie and Meghan quickly realized that tackling everything all at once was overwhelming. Their advice?

“Tackle projects one at a time. Breaking up our tasks by priority was super helpful and kept the last few weeks stress-free.”

They also recommend embracing help and saying yes to support—whether that’s from your vendor team, your family, or your friends.

And their one “don’t miss” tip?

“If you’re having an evening wedding, make sure you get courtyard photos with the twinkly lights before your photographer leaves!”

A Celebration to Remember

Natalie and Meghan’s wedding was everything they hoped for: intimate, joyful, and full of intentional moments shared with the people they love most. We were honored to be a part of it.
